Daigrepont, a prominent figure in Cajun music today, is known for infusing his original compositions with a blend of traditional elegance and contemporary pop energy. Unlike the older traditional bands, his arrangements are more complex yet still retain a natural and distinctly Cajun sound. It comes as no surprise that other dance bands in south Louisiana are starting to include Bruce's songs in their set lists.

Although Tipitina's, the renowned nightclub in New Orleans, takes its name from a Professor Longhair song, it is Bruce Daigrepont who has become a constant presence in recent times.
